Social Distancing with Hook and Loop
Social distancing has seemingly become the new norm for everyone. Maintaining a safe distance helps reduce the spread of COVID-19 and helps keep everyone safe. Sometimes it's on the individual to maintain proper social distancing, and sometimes a business or public space utilizes signs and markers to identify what that safe distance is. -
Cosplay With Hook And Loop
Cosplayers are fans of movies, tv shows, comic books, graphic novels, etc. who create fan costumes so they can represent their favorite characters. Often times, this is for attending conventions or gatherings with other cosplayers, but not always. Hook and loop is a great way to customize costumes for proper fitting and design. -
Embroidery on Webbing
Embroidery is a process of stitching a design or decoration into a material. We offer this capability on our webbing because the hook and loop does not allow for ease of function when embroidered. Stitching on hook and loop limits its usefulness. We often sew hook and loop, but that is done to provide a strong hold or reinforce the material. The stitching in those instances is done on the outer portions of the hook and loop, mostly in the selvage edge where no hook or loop is located. -
COVID-19 Face Shields
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that has taken the world by storm, HookandLoop.com has been uniquely positioned to supply companies with large quantities of hook and loop material with incredible efficiency. Through our efforts, and the efforts of our customers and suppliers, we've been able to supply wholesale straps for the manufacture of hundreds of thousands of face shields and other PPE. -
Industrial Sewing Machines vs. Home Sewing Machines
The types of sewing machines we use for reinforcing hook and loop straps with polypropylene webbing have some differences compared to a standard sewing machine you might have at home. We’ll go over some of differences between industrial and domestic sewing machines here. -
Pad Print Techniques
Pad printing is the printing process we use to imprint logos and information onto hook and loop. Typically, this printing is done on the back side of the hook portion of a custom strap so it will be outward facing when in use. We use a PLT 9 ink that is available in black or white ink, but we also have several other colors available for a $35 up-charge. This ink works well with our clichés and leaves clean imprint on the smooth nylon backing. -
Cut & Stack Service
At HookandLoop.com, we cut rolls of hook or loop to length for free. We’ll even mate the hook and the loop together and cut it to length too. But an additional service we offer is particularly useful for back to back hook and loop fasteners like VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP®. -
How Much Does Die Cutting Cost?
In addition to all of the custom hook and loop we offer, we also offer die cutting services. We use a clicker press to die cut hook and loop to specific shapes to be used for various applications. -
